As you will be aware, an interim Board of the Salford RLFC Supporters Trust was established on Monday 16th October 2017, this was set up with the guidance of Supporters Direct (an umbrella body for the Supporters’ Trusts) who have been extremely helpful in advising on how the Trust can be run effectively and efficiently.
It is now the intention to hold an Annual General Meeting (AGM) where a new and permanent Board will be elected by the members. Full details of this meeting have been emailed to all paid up members today: you can join the trust here.
Members will be asked to provide any motions they would like to raise at the meeting and also to nominate either themselves or anyone they would like to put forward for a Board position.
There will be a deadline for nominations and motions to be received and these will be outlined in the email also.
There will also be a deadline of Monday 11th December 2017 in place for the submission of membership applications to both attend the AGM and stand for Election.
Due to sensitivity, the election process for Board members will be overseen by an Election Management Group chaired by John Blackburn and supported by a group of Supporters Trust members not standing for election and who are not connected with the current interim Board.
There will be a maximum of 10 Board positions available.
Should 10 or less nominations be received, nominees will automatically be elected to the Board, however, should more than 10 nominations be received, a ballot will be set in motion and members will have the opportunity to vote for Board members. Further details will be issued following the closing date.
