Fundraising focus for 2021

We asked our members by email to vote on where our fundraising activities would now focus on in 2021 with the temporary pause of Reserve Grade Rugby League.

Winning with 79% of the vote is Option 3 – Player Pathway.

The Player Pathway will involve Paul Rowley leading a team aimed at engaging schools, attending school assemblies, taking and mentoring coaching sessions and signposting boys and girls to community clubs. The team will also work with the community clubs by offering expert coaching, in addition to mentoring coaches to ensure a consistent approach across the city. The intention is to expand this across Greater Manchester, partner with Wales RL and potentially beyond in to Cumbria. This is designed ultimately to expand our own talent, rather than sign expensively from overseas. We would hope the fruits of this scheme would be seen in five years from its creation

We hope you all agree this is an exciting project and back the Supporters Trust and the club to deliver to the best of its ability.

As a final note we want to wish all members and supporters a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, we look forward to hopefully seeing you all again in 2021.
